No. The app is free for anyone who wants hail alerts. Cover owners get the added vehicle-status tracking — mark each vehicle Covered or At Risk when a storm approaches, and the app remembers deployment history.
02 What does it cost?
Free. Every feature — push alerts, NEXRAD radar, unlimited locations, vehicle tracking, storm history. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no premium tier.
03 How much warning do I get before hail hits?
Typically 30+ minutes. The app watches NEXRAD storm cells as they form and track, plus live NWS warnings and SPC outlooks. When a cell threatens one of your locations, you're notified — not after the first stone lands.
04 Can I control when the app alerts me?
Three sensitivity tiers: High (any thunderstorm), Auto (Slight risk and above), or Low (Marginal risk and above). Toggle push, SMS, and email independently. Direct NEXRAD-tracked threats bypass the sensitivity setting so you never miss a real hit.
05 How many locations can I monitor?
As many as you want. Add locations by address or tap "Use My Location" to grab your device's coordinates. Label each one Home, Office, Work, or anything you choose. Every location has its own vehicles, forecast, and threat level.
06 Do I need an account?
Yes, but there's no password. Sign in with your email and a one-time code — or skip sign-in and try a free demo account first. No Facebook, no Google, no data brokers.
07 Which areas are supported?
Anywhere NEXRAD covers — continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam. Data sources: NEXRAD radar, NWS warnings, SPC outlooks, RainViewer overlays, and Open-Meteo forecasts.
