Detailed Instructions

5 Simple Steps

Each step builds on the last. After your first assembly, ongoing deployment takes just 5-10 minutes.

Unbox & First-Time Assembly
Step 1

Unbox & First-Time Assembly

Your Hail Protector arrives ready to assemble. This is a one-time setup that connects the blower system to the protective cover.

1
Unpack Components
2
Lay Out Cover
3
Attach Blower
4
Route Power
5
Test Inflation
Watch our step-by-step video guide while assembling.
Position & Drape
Step 2

Position & Drape

Position your vehicle optimally and drape the cover system over it.

1
Position Vehicle
2
Grab Front Edge
3
Walk Backward
4
Center Cover
The cover has color-coded labels for quick orientation.
Secure & Cinch
Step 3

Secure & Cinch

The patented wheel-cinch system anchors the cover low on your vehicle—tested to 80 mph.

1
Locate Wheel Straps
2
Loop Under Tires
3
Cinch Tight
4
Check All Points
The low anchor point prevents wind from lifting the cover.
Power & Inflate
Step 4

Power & Inflate

Connect your chosen power source and activate the blower.

1
Choose Power Source
2
Connect Power
3
Activate Blower
4
Watch It Inflate
The system uses high-volume, low-pressure air.
Deflate & Store
Step 5

Deflate & Store

After the storm passes, simply reverse the process.

1
Turn Off Blower
2
Release Straps
3
Fold Systematically
4
Pack in Bag
Store in your trunk so it's always ready.

Common Questions
Protection & Performance

Protection & Performance

4 questions
What size hail can it stop?
The Hail Protector stops ANY size hail. The high-volume air cushion absorbs impact energy rather than rigidly resisting it—similar to catching an egg with soft hands versus stopping it abruptly.
Will it scratch my car?
No. The inner layer that rests on your vehicle doesn't move, even under storm conditions. No movement means no friction, and no friction means no scratches. The material was specifically chosen to protect automotive finishes.
Does it work in high winds?
Yes. Developed in North Texas and tested to 80 mph winds. The wheel-cinch system anchors the cover low on your vehicle, preventing wind from getting underneath. A 60 mph wind exerts 350 pounds of force—your car would lift off the ground before the cover comes off.
What about sharp-edged hailstones?
The system uses high-volume (not high-pressure) air to absorb impact energy. The cover flexes and moves with the hail, making it virtually impossible to penetrate—even with sharp edges.
Power & Operation

Power & Operation

3 questions
How is the system powered?
Three options included: AA battery pack (~1 hour runtime), 12V car adapter (~3 hours without depleting starting power), or AC adapter (indefinite runtime). The blower runs continuously to maintain the protective air cushion.
Does the blower need to run constantly?
Yes, the blower runs continuously when activated because the cover uses breathable fabric. This constant airflow maintains the protective air cushion and allows moisture to escape—it's essential to how the system works.
Can I operate it remotely?
With an optional WiFi outlet adapter (purchased separately), you can activate your Hail Protector from nearly anywhere using your smartphone.
