Warranty Proration Schedule

Effective on orders placed 2/24/2022 and beyond. Credit is calculated as a percentage off the original invoice price of the cover.

Pro-rated credit applies toward the purchase of a replacement cover of the same or comparable size. Original proof of purchase (order confirmation email) required for all warranty claims.

How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact us at 855-511-4245 ext. 2 (Customer Service) or email customerservice@hailstormproducts.com, Mon–Fri 7 am – 4:30 pm PST.
  2. Submit photographs of the issue(s) you are experiencing.
  3. If warranty coverage cannot be determined by photographs, we may request that you mail the item back for full inspection.
  4. All warranty claims are subject to inspection (photo or physical) before approval or denial.
  5. Approved claims receive a pro-rated credit toward a replacement cover per the proration schedule above. Customer prepays shipping to and from.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and to items purchased directly from Hail Storm Products LLC.

Does this replace my 1-year warranty?
No. Every Hail Protector system already includes a 1-year warranty. This product extends that coverage by 2 additional years, giving you 3 years total from your date of purchase.
When can I purchase the extended warranty?
You can add it at checkout when purchasing your system, or within 30 days of receiving your Hail Protector.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship issues, seam separation (not due to misuse), and blower motor failure under normal use. All claims are subject to inspection (photo or physical) before approval.
What does 'pro-rated' mean?
Pro-rated means the credit toward a replacement is based on how long you've owned the system. For example, a claim within 0–3 months receives 100% credit, while a claim at 24–36 months (extended warranty period) receives 60% credit off the original invoice price of the cover.
Who pays for shipping on warranty claims?
The customer prepays shipping to and from on all warranty claims. Accessory replacements within the first 3 months are covered with only a shipping charge.
Is the warranty transferable?
No. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and to items purchased directly from Hail Storm Products LLC.
